JCB, a global leader in material handling equipment, introduced its first diesel-powered Telescopic Boom Platform T 65D in India. The unveiling took place in Goa during the Aerial Platform Association of India’s (APAOI) conference. This innovative machine is designed to set new benchmarks in reliability, efficiency, operator comfort, and, most importantly, safety. Manufactured at JCB’s advanced facility in Jaipur, the T 65D exemplifies the company’s commitment to producing high-quality, Made-in-India products.
Mr. Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, shared his thoughts on the launch, stating, “This top-tier machine focuses on safety and productivity, offering our customers the opportunity to purchase new, domestically produced equipment backed by full warranty and JCB’s product support. There’s no longer a need to rely on imported, used machines. We’ve made substantial investments in our Jaipur plant to ensure these machines meet global quality standards.”
The JCB T 65D boasts a platform height of 65 feet 4 inches and a reach of 56 feet 6 inches, with a maximum load capacity of 450 kgs. It is powered by a robust JCB diesel engine and features two distinct work zones. The platform itself measures 8 feet, and the machine weighs 12,500 kgs. Standard features include four-wheel drive and enhanced safety components like a secondary guarding system and a crush hazard mechanism, ensuring operator protection at all times. The T 65D also enhances productivity with intuitive controls, an oscillating starting angle, and joystick ergonomics that reduce operator fatigue.
Shetty added, “India’s growing economy presents immense opportunities for products like the Telescopic Boom Lift. As business and infrastructure development rise, demand for the T 65D is expected to increase both in the domestic market and in international exports.”
The T 65D is not only designed for the Indian market but also serves global clients, with exports to developed countries. It is particularly well-suited for industries such as construction, cement, oil & gas, and is widely used at airports and warehouses, or in any setting where operations at significant heights are required.
To support these advanced machines, JCB has developed a robust distribution network in India. The company has partnered with 11 dedicated dealers, offering trained engineers and comprehensive parts support to ensure seamless operation nationwide.
By introducing the T 65D, JCB reinforces its commitment to the Make in India initiative, while offering innovative solutions for businesses that require safe, reliable, and efficient aerial platforms.
