Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, one of India’s largest EV Charging solutions providers and a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, to set up 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in all metros cities viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata. This strategic move expands their ongoing collaboration, in providing sustainable mobility solutions, with a focus on easy charging solutions for small electric commercial vehicles.
In a significant step toward advancing India’s electric vehicle ecosystem, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer. Together, they plan to establish 200 fast-charging stations across key metro cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles (CVs) by providing a reliable and convenient charging infrastructure.
Expanding Sustainable Mobility with EV Fast-Charging Solutions
The new fast-charging stations will cater specifically to electric commercial vehicles, continuing the partnership between Tata Power and Tata Motors to drive sustainable mobility solutions in India. With a focus on creating seamless and accessible charging options for small electric commercial vehicles, this initiative is set to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs for business owners.
As part of the plan, Tata Motors and Tata Power will offer exclusive charging tariffs for Tata Motors’ electric CV owners, delivering lower operating costs and higher profitability. With the addition of these 200 fast-charging stations, electric vehicle users across India will soon have access to nearly 1,000 fast chargers strategically placed across the country.

The company has deployed over 1,00,000 home chargers and more than 5,500 public, semi-public, and fleet charging points. Additionally, Tata Power operates 1,100+ bus charging stations across 530 cities and towns, with chargers strategically positioned in accessible locations such as highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, and residential complexes.
