DICV Names Michael Moebius as President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has announced the appointment of Michael Moebius as its new President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, effective November 1, 2024. Michael takes over from Muthu Maruthachalam C, bringing more than 30 years of global experience in the passenger and commercial vehicle industry.

A Stellar Track Record of Global Contributions

Before his new role, Michael served as the Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia (DTA) in Japan. During this tenure, he led quality initiatives for brands such as Mitsubishi Fuso, DICV, PABCO, and other CKD assembly locations worldwide. Notably, he spearheaded innovations like Proactive Sensing, a cutting-edge big data solution for early failure detection, which significantly improved product quality and reduced warranty costs.

A Career Built on Excellence

Michael’s association with Daimler dates back to 1990, with key positions across Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Buses. His diverse international stints in countries like Brazil, Vietnam, Iran, India, and Japan have shaped his holistic approach to quality and operations. Between 2010 and 2016, Michael played a critical role at DICV, establishing global quality standards and championing product and process excellence.
