
PMI Electro Mobility has signed an agreement with Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) to supply 250 twelve-meter electric buses. The agreement was formalized by Shri Anil Diggikar, IAS, General Manager, BEST, and Mr. Dipesh Dwivedi, Director, PMI Electro Mobility. Deliveries will be completed in phases by Q2 of FY26.
Key Features and Benefits
- Advanced Electric Buses: The single-decker air-conditioned buses are equipped with advanced technology for superior safety, reliability, and comfort, providing a sustainable intracity travel solution.
- Environmental Impact: These buses will help save approximately 300,000 tons of CO2 and over 125 million liters of diesel over 12 years, aligning with India’s Net Zero 2070 vision.
- Expanded Connectivity: Operating across various routes in Mumbai and its suburbs under the GCC model, the buses will enhance urban mobility while significantly reducing the city’s carbon footprint.

PMI’s Growing EV Fleet
PMI Electro Mobility currently operates 1,700 electric buses across 31 cities, including Leh and Kerala. Mumbai is the second city in Maharashtra, following Nagpur, where 144 electric buses are already operational.
